EC-Council would like to remind all partners that any student’s and/or member’s personal and certification information is confidential and is not shared with any parties external to EC-Council. Only accreditation bodies such as ANSI are purview to certain information during auditing sessions and these are governed by strict Non-Disclosures.

Candidate’s personal and certification details are deemed to be confidential in nature and we are not at liberty to divulge those details to third parties, including our partners. The only way we can release the details is when a candidate expressly consented to the release of his/her details by way of submitting the completed Information Release Policy form to [email protected].

We would like our respected partners to inform their candidates to write DIRECTLY to EC-Council ([email protected] and [email protected]) for any type of assistance as confidential information may have to be divulged in the communication between the candidates and EC-Council.

Your attention and understanding on this matter are highly required and appreciated.

To apply to become a Certified EC-Council Instructor (CEI), you must:

• Submit a completed and signed CEI Application Form and the Agreement.
• If you are not an existing certified trainer for other major certification programs (eg., MCT, CTT+, etc), you will have to attend the CEI Exam.
• You must be certified in the program that you intend to teach (eg., to teach CEH, you will need to be a CEH, and additionally, if you would like to teach CHFI, then you will need to be a CHFI).
• Ensure you have updated your EC-Council Continuing Education (ECE) credits through the Delta Portal (found within the Member’s Portal) as your certification status must be in good standing.
• An EC-Council Accredited Training Center (ATC) will have to endorse your application.
• You must possess technical expertise and hands-on experience with security technologies and applications.
• When a CEI application is approved, EC-Council will send an email notice to the CEI detailing the access to the CEI Resources. This will be followed by a physical CEI Certificate which will be mailed to the CEI within 2 months from the date of approval.

Subject to the terms and conditions of the CEI agreement, all CEIs have exclusive rights to use the CEI logo for websites, business cards, marketing materials, and other documentation.

Dedicated Support and Communications

You have access to internal EC-Council training experts who will address any instructional queries or feedback which concerns the curriculum, exercises, and setup requirements of the course(s) you are certified to train.

If you are not already a certified instructor for other major certification training program (to be approved at the discretion of EC-Council), you will be required to pass the EC-Council Instructor Exam 312-75.

This exam covers the following objectives, among others, and will prepare the potential instructor towards achieving instructional excellence:

• Assure preparation of the course
• Establish and maintain instructor credibility
• Manage the learning environment
• Demonstrate effective communication skills
• Demonstrate effective questioning skills and techniques
